Earlier reports had claimed that Vikrant lost a cousin in the catastrophic crash of Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that went down minutes after take-off.

Vikrant Massey issued a clarification, requesting privacy for the bereaved Kunder family.
Amid reports linking actor Vikrant Massey to a victim of the tragic Air India crash in Ahmedabad, the 12th Fail star has issued a statement clarifying that Clive Kunder, who died in the crash, was not his cousin.
Taking to social media, Vikrant wrote, “Dear friends in the media and elsewhere, The unfortunately diseased Mr. Clive Kunder was not my cousin. The Kunders are our family friends. Request no more speculations and let the family and loved ones grieve in peace.”
Earlier reports had claimed that Vikrant lost a cousin in the catastrophic crash of Air India Flight AI171, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that went down minutes after take-off from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on Thursday, June 12. The flight was en route to London Gatwick Airport and had 230 passengers and 12 crew members on board. The crash resulted in the deaths of 241 people, including several prominent individuals.
The confusion reportedly stemmed from Vikrant’s earlier tribute to Clive Kunder, where he had expressed condolences to Clifford Kunder, referring to him as “uncle.” The message led to assumptions that Clive was a blood relative of the actor.
With growing misinformation surrounding the identities of the victims and their families, Vikrant took a firm step to set the record straight, urging the media and public to avoid unnecessary speculation during such a sensitive time.
Clive Kunder was the first officer operating the ill-fated flight. His passing has drawn tributes from many in the aviation community, and his loss is deeply mourned by loved ones and acquaintances.
Vikrant Massey concluded his statement by appealing for sensitivity and respect for the grieving family.
