Popular television actor Sudhanshu Pandey, known for his standout performance in Anupamaa, is all set to take on a new challenge with his participation in the Karan Johar-hosted reality series The Traitors. Ahead of the show’s grand premiere, the actor took a spiritual tour by visiting sacred temples and seeking divine blessings. Following his holy trip to the peaceful Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand, he has now taken a spiritual sabbatical at Tirupati Balaji.
On June 12, he dropped a bunch of pictures on Instagram from his sacred trip. Dressed in traditional attire, he offered fans a glimpse of the sacred temple and his moments at the site. The first snippet showed the actor standing beside the gigantic and beautiful idol of Lord Balaji, exuding his bright smile. Following this, he was seen bowing down and worshipping the lord. He also gave fans a glimpse of the beautiful holy temple.
Alongside the pictures, he penned, “Before stepping into a new chapter, I always believe in bowing my head in gratitude. Today, as The Traitors goes live on Amazon Prime at 8 PM, I found myself seeking divine blessings at Tirupati Balaji, a place that brings immense peace, clarity, and strength.”
Reflecting on his journey from fashion model to actor and a former member of India’s first boy band, the Anupamaa star described The Traitors as more than just a reality show. He said, “This show isn’t just another project. It’s a powerful experience that dives deep into trust, betrayal, strategy, and survival. And in many ways, it reflects the journey of life… My early days have been filled with both challenges and beautiful milestones. Every phase shaped me, grounded me, and led me to this very moment. I’m truly excited (and a bit nervous) to present something so intense, raw, and thrilling.”
As Pandey gears up for this exciting new chapter, he thanked Mahakaal Baba, Amazon Prime Video and BBC for the opportunity, ending his post with, “Blessings from Balaji for this new beginning. Blessings from all of you matter the most too. Watch #TheTraitors streaming today at 8 PM only on @primevideoin. Let the game begin…”
Before his trip to Tirupati Balaji, Sudhanshu visited the serene and sacred Kainchi Dham in Uttarakhand. Taking to Instagram, he dropped a series of pictures from his spiritual visit and expressed gratitude for the opportunities ahead. In his post, he also hinted at the complexity and intensity of the upcoming reality show.
Hosted by Karan Johar, the unscripted reality show The Traitors is shot at a grand palace in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer. The show is the Indian adaptation of the globally popular show De Verraders. The high-stakes game will see 20 celebrity guests participating in a game of wits and deception. The contestants include Jasmin Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Apoorva Makhija, Raj Kundra, Lakshmi Manchu, Raftaar, Anshula Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Uorfi, Mukesh Chhabra, Sufi Motiwala, Jannat Zubair, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, Nikita, Elnaaz Nourozi, Harsh Gujral, Janhvi Gaur, Purav Jha and Maheep Kapoor.
Each week, contestants must work together to complete tasks while three hidden “traitors” secretly plot to sabotage and eliminate the rest. The much-awaited show will stream on Amazon Prime Video from today, June 12. New episodes will stream at 8 PM every Thursday.
