For fans hoping to see Shah Rukh Khan collaborate with Pushpa director Sukumar and Mythri Movie Makers, there’s some disappointment in store. While rumours were doing the rounds about a possible project between SRK and the Telugu production house, a new report has firmly dismissed the speculation.
According to Pinkvilla reports, there have been no meetings between Shah Rukh and Mythri Movie Makers. A source close to the actor revealed to the publication house, “Shah Rukh Khan is currently pouring all his energy into King. There’s been no script reading or discussions with Mythri, so the idea of greenlighting a film doesn’t even arise.”
SRK’s full focus remains on King, which is being directed by Siddharth Anand. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, and more. With such a lineup, it’s no surprise that King is among the most anticipated releases currently in production. Although an official release date hasn’t been announced, industry buzz hints at a possible Gandhi Jayanti 2026 premiere.
As per the source, Shah Rukh is expected to wrap up King by the first quarter of 2026. “He will decide on his next film only after that. Several scripts are on the table, but none are from Mythri,” the source added.

Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma have already been confirmed as part of the cast. Meanwhile, recent reports suggest that Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, and Anil Kapoor have also joined the project in key roles. Suhana will be seen as Shah Rukh’s student, taking training for deadly missions. Reportedly, both SRK and Suhana have undergone intense physical training for the film. Meanwhile, Abhay Verma will reportedly play Suhana’s boyfriend in the film.
