Television heartthrob Parth Samthaan, who recently impressed fans with his stint in CID season 2, recently ditched the city traffic chaos for the comfort of the Mumbai Metro. The actor documented his first-ever metro experience in the city and shared it on social media, much to the delight of his fans. Dressed in a trendy white and yellow t-shirt, paired with a matching yellow cap and black glasses, Parth kept it casual yet stylish as he mingled with travellers during his ride.
In his Instagram Stories, the actor shared the moment a metro train going towards the Gundavali metro station arrived at the platform. He then offered a peek at his stunning look and his bright smile. Following this, the clip pans to show the inside of the nearly full coach.
“Finally my first metro ride (Mumbai wali),” Parth captioned the video, clearly excited about the new experience.
On the professional front, Parth Samthaan marked his debut in the lights-camera-action world as Prithvi Sanyal in the television series Best Friends Forever. But it was his iconic role as Manik Malhotra in Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan that shot him to stardom. He later captivated audiences as Anurag Basu in Ektaa Kapoor’s follow-up to the successful show Kasautii Zindagii Kay, starring opposite Erica Fernandes.
Besides stupefying fans in the television world, Parth also stepped into Bollywood with the 2024 film Ghudchadi. In the comic drama, he shared the screen space with veterans like Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Khushali Kumar and Aruna Irani in key roles.
Most recently, Parth took on the role of ACP Ayushmaan in CID, marking his return to television in the second season of the iconic crime series. Although he stepped away just weeks after his joining, he left a strong impression on viewers.
Speaking about his exit, the actor revealed that his role was initially meant to be a guest appearance but was extended as per the story’s demand. He expressed that he did enjoy being part of the show, but the prior work commitments wouldn’t allow him to continue for long. Talking to Pinkvilla, he said, “It’s been an absolute pleasure to be a part of a cult show like CID, even if it’s just for a brief period. I was on board for a few episodes only, a guest appearance, but later got extended for a couple of months. Initially, we couldn’t give any confirmation on the same as it would have spoiled the excitement of the show.”
CID Season 2 premiered on Sony TV on December 21, 2024 and brought back fan-favourite characters including Sr. Inspector Abhijeet (Aditya Srivastava), Sr. Inspector Daya (Dayanand Shetty) and ACP Pradyuman (Shivaji Satam).
