Sherrone Moore and his Michigan coaching staff enjoyed a strong recruiting weekend, hosting several top-tier prospects, including five-star offensive tackle Felix Ojo.

Much of the buzz around Ojo’s recruitment has centered on Ohio State and Texas. The Longhorns are currently the heavy favorite, holding a 90.8% prediction from On3, and the Buckeyes are seen as their main competitor.

However, On3’s Steve Wiltfong reported on Tuesday that Michigan made a serious impression on Ojo during his visit to Ann Arbor this weekend, saying:

“Felix Ojo tells me Michigan compares high. It was only the second time in Ann Arbor, but he said he felt like home there. His family had a great time. They’re on the same playing field as Texas and Ohio State, moving forward.”

Ojo is known for his elite pass protection skills and presence at a critical position. He is the No. 3 offensive tackle in the 2026 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

Ojo’s growing interest in Sherrone Moore’s program aligns with the school’s continued focus on building a dominant offensive line. Moore has been instrumental in helping the Wolverines win two Joe Moore Awards and sending multiple linemen to the NFL.

Even five-star Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, the nation’s top 2025 recruit, spent time with Ojo during his visit, which may have further influenced his interest in the Wolverines.

“Bryce Underwood told him the reasons why he came to Michigan outside of NIL. Obviously, development and culture. And then the offense.”

If Moore can land Ojo in the 2026 class, it would be another major recruiting win, following their commitments from five-star tackles Ty Haywood and Andrew Babalola in the 2025 class.

Four-star LB Brayden Rouse feels a “priority” for Michigan’s 2026 class

Michigan is heavily involved in four-star linebacker Brayden Rouse’s recruitment and welcomed him for an official visit this week. During his time on campus, linebackers coach Brian Jean-Mary and the rest of the Wolverines staff explained how Rouse’s versatility fit seamlessly into their defensive system.

“Everyone I interacted with was amazing and everyone treated me and my family with great hospitality,” Rouse told 247Sports. “I definitely feel the love from Michigan and I’m a priority for them.”

Alongside Michigan, Rouse also lists Alabama, Texas and Tennessee in his top four schools. As a junior in the 2024 season, he recorded 105 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and five pass breakups.
