Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is much more than just an eminent actor. Besides his powerful screen presence, Big B often voices his opinions with his thoughtful writings. Be it while expressing his gratitude towards his roots and journey in the film business or revealing unknown anecdotes from his life and profound thoughts on any subject, the actor keeps winning hearts with his witty skills. This time, he tried to promote the strong message of spirituality through his recital of multiple shlokas in a recent video.
On Instagram, Amitabh Bachchan shared a long video to uplift the message of spirituality through shlokas. In the clip, he is seen being dressed in white clothes, including a kurta, matching pants and a cap. He was seated in a black background with his headphones placed on his ears, reportedly for attaining the utmost concentration. In the background score, the veteran star was seen reciting multiple Hindu verses, which included chanting various mantras of deities like Mahalakshmi, Saraswati, Gauri and Radhe Krishna, among others.
“.. the heart desires .. the mind reverberates .. the soul gives voice .. – Shlok recital by Amitabh Bachchan” read the caption alongside the post, revealing his connection with his spirituality. Additionally, this was a subtle attempt by the actor to awaken the feeling of spirituality in the hearts of his fans and promote traditional values in modern times.
The video instantly garnered the attention of many of his fans, including actress Payal Rohtagi, who dropped a series of heart-eyed emojis in the comment section. Young star Diptii Salvi also posted a couple of clapping hands while reacting to Bachchan’s post.
One of the users deeply moved by his recitation, wrote, “Amitabh ji , Your composition touched a place beyond words where the heart listens, the soul stirs, and silence speaks. Thank you for sharing a moment of pure beauty.” Another person said, “Peaceful.” Someone mentioned, “Fantastic.” A comment read, “Shahenshah of our hearts.”
This is not the first time when Big B made an attempt for a better world to live in. A few days back, he posted a video on Instagram in order to promote a plastic-free environment. He joined hands with Unicef India and wrote in the caption of his post, “Every piece of plastic we avoid is a step towards a cleaner planet. I’m choosing reusable, refillable, and responsible and so can you. Join me and @unicefindia @yuwaahindia in taking small, everyday actions with the Meri LiFE app.”
Coming to his work front, the 82-year-old veteran superstar has been working non-stop. He was last seen in a 2024 Tamil film titled Vettaiyan, co-starring Rajinikanth.
