Allu Arjun has been grabbing attention following his performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The actor is getting many offers and looks like he has given his nod for Malayalam sensation Basil Joseph, best known for the hit superhero film Minnal Murali. Well, nothing has been made official till now. But the buzz has left his fans super excited.
123Telugu has reported that Allu Arjun has signed a new film with Mollywood actor-filmmaker Basil Joseph. This unexpected collaboration is likely to be backed by Geetha Arts, with pre-production work already in motion. An official announcement is expected in the coming months. The buzz started after a low-key meeting between the superstar and the Malayali filmmaker in mid-February. Basil reportedly narrated an intriguing story to Allu.
Recently, it was reported that Allu Arjun has been ousted from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next film. If a recent report by Siasat.com is to be believed, the Telugu superstar had signed a movie with the Animal director last year. However, insiders now claim that the film has been put on hold and Allu Arjun has been removed from it. While there is no official confirmation to this as of now, the report also claims that Jr NTR is likely to replace Allu Arjun in this movie.
Interestingly, this comes weeks after Sandeep Reddy Vanga also removed Deepika Padukone from Prabhas starrer Spirit. Reports suggest that her demands, including eight-hour workdays, a high salary, and a share in the film’s profits, did not sit well with director Vanga. Deepika, a new mother, is reportedly seeking to balance her work and personal life by reducing her working hours.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun will soon be sharing the screen with Deepika Padukone in Atlee’s next film, which is tentatively titled AA22xA6. While early rumours hinted that the film might feature a two-hero storyline, Allu Arjun’s team recently clarified that the actor will be seen in dual roles, adding another intriguing layer to the film’s narrative. The film is set to go on floors in mid-2025, with a grand release planned for 2026.
