Aamir Khan Confirms Cameo In Rajinikanth’s Coolie
Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will be making a cameo in superstar Rajinikanth’s Coolie. The film is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In conversation with Zoom, the Sitaare Zameen Par actor revealed this exciting information, and also shared that he agreed to do this film because he is a huge fan of Rajinikanth.
Aamir Khan was quoted saying while replying to a fan’s question about his cameo, “I really enjoyed doing it. I am big fan of Rajini sir…huge fan. I have a lot of love and respect for Rajini sir. So, I did not even hear the script. When Lokesh told me that it is a Rajini sir’s movie and that he wanted me to do a cameo, I said, ‘Done. I am doing it. Whatever it is, I am doing it.’”
Coolie is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, produced by Sun Pictures. The film stars Rajinikanth in the titular role, alongside Soubin Shahir, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Upendra.
The producers of the upcoming action film had previously released an exciting title teaser that featured superstar Rajinikanth fighting villains in a factory-like environment. The brief peek was captured in a monochrome style, with only the gold hue accentuated.
The teaser received a massive reception from viewers, who are eagerly waiting for this exciting collaboration.The film has music composed by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography handled by Girish Gangadharan, and editing by Philomin Raj. Coolie will be released in both worldwild and IMAX formats across the world in 2025.
Recently, Aamir revealed that he was ‘heartbroken’ after the film’s underwhelming response and even gave up on Sitaare Zameen Par.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, the actor stated that he even requested director RS Prasanna to cast Farhan Akhtar in the movie. “To be honest, after Laal Singh Chaddha, I was quite depressed, heartbroken, and emotionally battered because I hadn’t had an unsuccessful film in very long. It was quite shocking for me because I’d also liked the film. So I was very surprised that people didn’t like it,” he said.
The sports comedy-drama is a remake of the Spanish hit Champions and features Genelia Deshmukh and 10 newcomers in prominent roles.
