BTS’ Jimin and Jungkook share emotional memories from their military journey.
BTS’ beloved duo Jimin and Jungkook have officially completed their military service and they’re opening up about their emotional journey. In a candid livestream on Weverse on June 11, the two idols reflected on their time in the army, sharing heartfelt anecdotes over pizza and spaghetti.
Jungkook began the conversation by confirming their discharge. Still adjusting to being back on camera, he laughed about feeling awkward. “There’s so much to talk about,” he said. “But I don’t know what I said or where to look.” He admitted that even discussing military life felt a bit surreal now.
Jimin, always the thoughtful one, acknowledged that fans must be especially curious since they were the only BTS members to enlist together. “There’s a lot to talk about,” he smiled, even joking that their experience could fill a 10-episode series.
Looking back, Jimin confessed that he had been anxious when they first enlisted. The moment they entered the training center, he said, he felt deeply unsettled. At the time, Jungkook appeared to handle the new environment better, and for the first five weeks, Jimin found himself in constant distress.
“He gave me a lot of strength,” Jimin recalled. Jungkook would comfort him by saying time was flying by and that they’d get through it together.
But once they were assigned to different units, the dynamic shifted. “After that, it was Jungkook who started to struggle more,” Jimin explained. In those tougher days, he found himself offering the support that Jungkook had earlier given him. “We really leaned on each other.”
Their emotional honesty and close bond left ARMYs moved. Fans flooded social media with heartfelt messages, expressing admiration for the duo’s resilience and friendship.
