Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan opened up about his first meeting with girlfriend Sophie Shine in a recent Instagram video. The couple first caught public attention when they were seen together in the stands during the 2025 Champions Trophy. Sophie later made their relationship official with an Instagram post on May 1.

On Wednesday, June 11, Dhawan shared a video on Instagram featuring Sophie, in which a female host asked the former batter when he first met her and what she was wearing at the time. In response, the 39-year-old said:

“We met at a restaurant in Dubai and it was a great feeling. Sophie was wearing a camouflage trousers and a jacket. She was looking very beautiful.”

Meanwhile, the host turned to Sophie and asked what had caught her attention about Dhawan. To this, she replied:

“Definitely, his beautiful face. He had very mischievous eyes, and I felt like his face lit up when he looked at me.”

Meanwhile, the couple recently enjoyed a vacation in the Maldives, where they celebrated Sophie’s birthday on June 2.
