    How to add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X

    Following the release of a new free-to-play model, many new players are looking for ways to add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X. Ubisoft’s premier team-based tactical shooter just entered a new era with the release of Siege X on June 10, 2025, which brings several graphical and core mechanics changes to the game.

    Among all the improvements made in Operation Daybreak, the UI received a major facelift. As a result, many players, especially those joining as new recruits in Siege X, are wondering how they can play with their friends.

    This article explains how you can add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X and join a party for Core Siege or Dual Front.

    Adding friends in Rainbow Six Siege X

    To add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X, you need to first launch the game on your preferred platform. Whether it’s Steam, Epic Games Launcher, or Ubisoft Connect, Siege X will always have an instance of the latter running. This is because the in-game social menu and rewards system use the Ubisoft Connect overlay.

    To add friends in Rainbow Six Siege X, follow these steps:

    • Boot Rainbow Six Siege X from your preferred launcher.
    • Once the Main Menu is up, press the keybind mentioned above the Playlist tab to bring up the Social Menu.
    • When the Social Menu is up, click on Ubisoft Connect to bring up the overlay.
    • In the search bar on the overlay, type the Ubisoft Connect username of your friends to send them a request.
    • Pressing the three dots beside this search tab will show you your received friend requests.
    • Once your friends are added in Ubisoft Connect, invite them to your party.

    Note that symbols and special characters in Ubisoft Connect usernames are case-sensitive, so be sure to enter them correctly. Additionally, if you want to add teammates from previous matches as friends, open the Scoreboard. Then, select the desired teammate and press the Ubisoft Connect button to send them a friend request.
