Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas’ daughter, Hamiley Arenas, joined in on a special family celebration as her brother Alijah Arenas’ girlfriend, Jayden, graduated from high school.

On Tuesday, Hamiley shared an emotional photo on her Instagram story, capturing herself tearfully hugging Jayden, who was dressed in her graduation gown. She shared the picture with the caption:

“Mind you, I’ve never cried at a graduation before 🥺♥️”

Jayden has remained close to the Arenas family since the beginning of her relationship with Alijah. She previously accompanied the family on a trip to Paris. She was also with the family when Alijah’s elder sister Izela made her college basketball debut for the Louisville Cardinals against Colorado on Dec. 1.

The Arenas family, Izela, Alijah, Hamiley and Aloni Arenas, are all currently pursuing basketball careers, following in their father Gilbert Arenas’ footsteps.

Izela Arenas is a 5-foot-9 guard who is heading to her second year of college basketball with the Louisville Cardinals, while Hamiley Arenas is heading to her high school sophomore year with Notre Dame. As a freshman, she averaged 23.3 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

On the other hand, after concluding high school basketball, Alijah is on the verge of joining the USC Trojans next season. The 6-foot-6 shooting guard graduated from High School as the No. 13-ranked prospect in ESPN’s Class of 2025 ranking, averaging 29.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in his final season.

Alijah Arenas reclassified to the Class of 2025

Alijah Arenas’ transition to college basketball came earlier than usual as he reclassified to the 2025 class. This means he only spent three years playing high school basketball.

As a freshman, Alijah averaged 30.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He kept the momentum going, as he averaged 33.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game as a sophomore.

Midway through his junior year, Alijah reclassified from the class of 2026 to the class of 2025.
