    Top 5 Major Construction Projects Open for Bids in California (July 2025)

    1. MOTCO Berms Construction and Dredging

    Location: Bay Point, CA

    Budget: $250,000,000

    Bid Date: July 10, 2025

    Start Date: September 8, 2025

    Project Details

    This project involves water/sewer dredging work at the Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) wharves. The owner of this project is the U.S. Army, Corps of Engineers (USACE).

    PLEASE NOTE: The USACE says, “it is imperative that all prospective Offerors (including their subcontractors) must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM – www.SAM.gov) and the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) website in order to be able to view and download solicitation information, and to submit offers.”

    2. Const Bridges, RW, SW, Pavement, Drainage and Electrical Systems

    Location: Placentia

    Budget: $140,000,000

    Bid Date: July 17, 2025

    Start Date: September 15, 2025

    Project Details

    This project calls for site work, paving, and new construction of a mixed-use development in Placentia, California.

    3. RFQ D/B – Renovation and Expansion of SPS NRM Project

    Location: Palo Alto

    Budget: $50,000,000

    Bid Date: July 10, 2025 (Project owner requests subcontractor bids by July 7, 2025)

    Start Date: July 21, 2025

    Project Details

    Another military-based project, this one involves demolition, site work, renovation, and adding an addition to a mixed-use, medical facility development for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

    4. Training Support Center (Tsc) – Fort Irwin, Ca

    Location: Fort Irwin

    Budget: $50,000,000

    Bid Date: July 15, 2025

    Start Date: September 15, 2025

    Project Details

    The U.S. Army is looking for site work and new construction of a military facility on the grounds of the National Training Center. The project calls for classroom/training space, adminstrative space, and rooms for training devices and simulators.

    5. Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services, Sierra Army Depot, Herlong, California

    Location: Herlong

    Budget: $25,000,000

    Bid Date: July 21, 2025

    Start Date: September 10, 2025

    Project Details

    One more USACE military facility project. This one calls for the renovation of a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) building on the Sierra Army Depot campus.
