Rana Daggubati-starred Rana Naidu Season 2 fan and media event was cancelled in Mumbai after a tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad. All 242 passengers bound for London are feared to have been killed after an Air India flight crashed near the Ahmedabad airport on Thursday, June 12.
The team of Netflix’s Rana Naidu issued an official statement, confirming that the event has been cancelled to express solidarity for the families of those impacted by the plane crash. It read: “In light of the tragic news concerning the Air India flight, and in solidarity with the families of those impacted, we have made a decision to cancel today’s fan and media event of Rana Naidu Season 2. Our hopes and prayers are with the families of those affected by this devastating news.”
Akshay Kumar, Vishnu Manchu cancel Kanappa event
Several celebs have cancelled press shows and events in the wake of the tragic air accident. Earlier today, Akshay Kumar and Vishnu Manchu cancelled the trailer launch event of their upcoming film Kannappa, which was scheduled to take place in Indore on Friday, June 13. The Kannappa team has also postponed the trailer release by a day.

Plane crash in Ahmedabad
The Ahmedabad plane crash incident occurred at 1:17 pm as an Air India flight, en route to London, took off with 242 passengers and 10 crew members on board. Among the passengers were 169 Indians, 53 British nationals, 7 Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian. Thick smoke was seen rising from Dharpur near the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad. Fire brigade units were immediately dispatched, and emergency response teams are being mobilised. The cause of the crash has not yet been officially confirmed by authorities.
