A 34-year-old star is reportedly leaving AEW and it has been widely noted that he has not been seen on TV for months. The fans will be disappointed to see events pan out this way.

AEW has a lot of popular stars and some that are more enigmatic than others but none personifies that more than Danhausen. The face-painted star is someone who intrigues a lot of fans and wrestlers with his uncanny in-ring style and character.

Danhausen has not been seen since the Ring of Honor Final Battle event late last year. It has now been revealed that his contract is also coming close to its completion. Fightful Select has reported that they were told that his contract will end in July unless there are any changes that place in the time left.

The report also noted that given there has been hardly any plans for him over the last year and a half, it would be very surprising if any time is added to his current deal.

Matt Hardy questions Danhausen’s AEW booking

Matt Hardy is an experienced veteran and when he sees something that does not add up, he speaks out and he did just that when speaking about Danhausen’s booking.

The former AEW star was speaking on a recent episode of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast when he questioned Danhausen’s booking. He said:

“Danhausen’s a hustler too, man. Lots of love for him. He’s a great entertainer. He’s a great commodity. With him, there are so many different avenues you can take to put him on your TV program and get him over, and make him sell tons of merchandise, and make him a compelling part of your TV program. I don’t know why they decided not to do that. Once again, I don’t know the ins and outs of all the details.”

It will be interesting to see if he does show up in AEW before his deal ends next month.
